Contributors > Dale Lazar Dale Lazar Pillsbury & Winthrop dlazar@pillsburywinthrop.comMr. Lazar is co-chair of Pillsbury Winthrop's Intellectual Property Practice Section. He handles intellectual property problems concerning a variety of technologies. He has extensive experience relating to patenting electronic technology, patenting and copyrighting computer hardware and software, litigating patents and copyrights, negotiating and drafting licenses for patents and software and preparing software related agreements. Mr. Lazar has additionally been involved in analyzing electronic and computer related patents and copyrights for infringement and validity. Mr. Lazar teaches patent law at George Mason University Law School and has taught at both the Law Center and the Engineering School of George Washington University. He has written and lectured extensively on patent prosecution and litigation for the Patent Resources Group (Designing Around Valid U.S. Patents Course since 1993, Patent Bar Review Course since 1985 and Advance Patent Prosecution Course since 1978) as well as the firm's Annual Intellectual Property Seminar since 1979. He has lectured to a variety of groups around the world regarding topics related to U.S. patent law. Mr. Lazar has written several papers including, "Advanced Claim Drafting, Construction and Interpretation" and "Protecting Computer Implemented Inventions."
